With a toddler and a full time job, free time is a rare and precious commodity when trying to get ready for the new baby.
Most of my "free time" lately has been spent getting ready for the birth of our daughter, the second child, due December 20. We live in a three bedroom house. The bedrooms have been known as our room, the nursery and the office since we moved to this house in July 2009. We were expecting at that time as well and our son was born in December 2009.
We are now doing the bedroom shuffle. The office is mostly moved to the basement and the former office with a new coat of paint will soon become the boy's new room. The nursery will remain a nursery but with a new coat of paint and new furniture for the new baby girl.
Because I am a semi-reformed pack rat, the basement storage is quite full. In order to make room for the office, a lot of purging was needed. The tally so far is nine boxes to Goodwill (3 trips) and several filled 90 gallon recycling and trash cans. We made enough space for the queen size futon to be reassembled downstairs.
The painter comes in a couple weeks. Wish me luck!
